Gallerina

Steven is a figurative artist living and working in West Yorkshire. He holds a Masters degree and a BA (hons) 1st class degree in Fine Art and has been showing his work regularly with Gallerina since 2004.

Steven has exhibited many times in London and has recently been part of two shows with a major New York figurative gallery.

He has also exhibited in  Palm Beach, Dubai and India and was an award winner at the New Light Art Prize in 2017.

He has two portraits in Arabian Royal offices and has painted the wife of Julian Fellowes - the creator of Downton Abbey.

Steven is very interested in light and its dramatic effect on the human form and he often combines this with a suggestion of narrative.

His influences range from the paintings of the old masters and symbolist paintings to film noir, comic books and vintage crime book covers.
